A New Year : The plans God has can be humbling
Well, I am back to blogging as of today. First let me start by wishing each and everyone of you a Happy New Year and saying that I hope and pray each of you had a wonderful holiday season and a VERY MERRY CHRISTMAS.
2014 I feel is going to be a good...no a GREAT year. I have had many things happen over the past few months. As I prayed about this God showed me two ways and brought it together. The New Year can bring the plans God has for you which can also come to that of a humbling expense so let me share with you what I truly mean.
Many times in life, we tend to think we know what God wants for us BUT sometimes we end up being totally wrong. As many of you know, I had been injured in a previous job but have been going through many medical exams and injections. I had a wonderful job and thought that is where I was meant to be but God show me I was wrong. Many times when we feel we are in the plans God wants for us, we are shown that isn't so and we have to change what is in store for us to come.

In the book of Jeremiah 29, we are told :
                       11-
"For I know the plans I have for
                        you",declares the Lord, "plans to
prosper you and not to harm you,
plans to give you hope and a future."

We see this many times in that it is a problem for us but in truth we are being humbled as we need to humble ourselves daily before God with each and every issue that happens. I have had to become humble as I was recently told from the doctor in Kansas City that I went to reported the only work he could truly see me doing was sedentary work and am now in a walker . OK, its not what I am use to BUT I can say that this has been a humbling experience as I am going to have to adjust to what has been told to me. In the book of Proverbs we are told that when pride comes, so does disgrace but when humility comes, so does wisdom. (Proverbs 11:2). I have come to the conclusion it is better to have the humility than it is to have or be prideful of anything.
So in closing for today, I ask this question to you. For the New Year are you going to be prideful, boast, and end up becoming disgraceful OR  are you going to become humbled throughout this new year so that you can constantly gain wisdom ? I think I would much rather gain the wisdom throughout the New Year and help other's to learn this life lesson as we tend travel this journey. For when you humble yourself before the Father, the angels will sing.
May God bless you all in this New Year and with that let me remind you all that if you need info on obtaining a copy of my book please see the main page of this website as well as finding the info to have me come to speak to your church, school, group, or organization.
May you all find peace and happiness within 2014.
Please keep reading and just to let you all know I will more than likely be starting and working on a new book this year. Details to come.
God Bless and Keep you all-
In Christ-
Marla
