Prayer-Getting through the "lions" of life
Well hello once again all. I hope this finds everyone doing well today. It has been a little nuts here but all is well. Today it seemed like everything hit at once and it got me to thinking and praying which actually led me to the blog I had God lead me to for today which is about prayer.
Praying....a strong word for many and a questionable one for some. It is a tool I have learn to use daily when it comes to living in this world and getting through the "lions of life". God tells us that we are to pray daily and pray without ceasing. I know for many it is difficult and I have even found myself struggling at times BUT here is the thing, when it comes to us living in this world we need to keep in prayer in order to prove that our God is real, true, AND shows the innocence of His own people. We are shown this in Daniel 6 when Daniel is caught praying to God. The king did not want to throw him in but because it would have went against the governmental decree's that had been set, he had to. We all know the end of the story in that when the king had returned to check on him, Daniel had not been touched for he prayed for God to protect him and God did so by closing the mouths of the lions. When the king asked him if he was ok, Daniel replied the following :

22-" My God sent his angel, and he shut the
mouths of the lions. They have not hurt me,
because I was found innocent in his sight. Nor                 have I ever done any wrong before you, O king."

So the thing here is that Daniel trusted God and prayed in earnest for him to intervene in the situation. My question is this, if Daniel can trust God to intervene with the actual lions, then why is it we can't or don't trust God with the "lions" of life ? Why don't we allow him to intervene ? My thoughts is the fact that we don't pray enough or if we do, we are like the child who gives their toy to a parent to fix and then if its not fixed quick enough, we take it back. So let me ask this to you all, when it comes to the "lions" of life that we have to face, are you going to try to fix it on your own OR are you going to be like Daniel and allow God to intervene, trust, close the mouths of the lions, and prove your innocence ? Myself, I would prefer him to intervene.
Remember, that if you are interested in a copy of the book or would like for me to speak to your church, school, group, or organization, all the info can be found it on the front of this webpage.
God Bless and Keep you all-
In Christ-

Yes! This is so true! And you know, I have trouble with praying.
