| Giving up....it seems as if this to some in today's society is a way to go. When things begin to start becoming over whelming the answer that many tend to do or say is "I quit; I'm throwing in the towel." I say many as there are still some however that live to the fact of "NEVER GIVE UP", myself included but one gentleman I can especially pinpoint,lives these three words. The words though to him, myself, and anyone who lives by this philosophy are not just words like they are to many; they are the way of life. So you ask why should we not give up when things become bad? Why should we not throw in the towel when things look bleak ? Well God gives us the answer in 1 Corinthians 2:14. It tells us that "The man without the Spirit does not accept the things that come from the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him and he cannot understand them, because they are spiritually discerned." In other words those who are throwing the towel in are not accepting why things are taking place and thus it is hard to separate because their faith is spiritually dead when it comes to understanding what or why it is taking place. Why then you ask should we never give up when tested and tried ? There are many reasons not to give up but the main reason is that when one tend to gives up it shows the enemy he has won and that we don't have the faith in which we are instructed to have. So how do we hold the faith and never give up ? You believe and trust that God will handle it. We begin with the belief and faith being discussed with one particular scripture verse that we learn and keep to us....John 3:16. There are many more scriptures in which is given to us to help us keep moving forward which includes Galatians 6:9, 2 Corinthians 4:1, Hebrews 12:3, and Hebrews 11:6. The one however I most rely on and continue to know why I should never give up is the following scripture:
Philippians 4:13: 13- I can do everything through him who gives me strength
I know that no matter what Satan throws my way that with God---no matter what----ANYTHING AND EVERYTHING CAN be done! I say that when Satan throws a rock at us that we use God and throw a boulder right back. We need to show Satan that we will NOT GIVE UP!! So let me ask this what are you going to do when the trials and troubles of life throw what seem like boulders are you going to throw in the towel OR are you going to plant your feet firmly in Christ and stand strong to tell him,"I AM NEVER GIVING UP!!!" ? I am planting and I refuse to let Satan take control .....I AM NEVER GIVING UP!!
