Good day to you all once again. Yes, I have
learned with God showing me that it is best to write these blogs when I have
them on my mind and not try to lay it out at the last minute. Today is a very
hard day for me on top of all other that is taking place as it was a year ago
today that my grandmother received her walking paper’s to return to her
heavenly home. I remember this day as clear as if it was yesterday, just as I
do with my grandfather’s death. I like everyone else on earth, have a hard time
trying to understand many things that take place around us like death. The
thing is though that only God knows the true understanding. As you continue to
read this blog and asking the question of why these things happen, just
remember that there is a time for all things. The question I want you to think
of though is who will you rely on….your own understanding or God’s?
We all go through issues throughout our life
time….some good and some are bad, but we truly tend to act more on the bad
issues than the good ones. When something bad takes place many of us get angry
at God and asking the question of why….why did this happen to me or why did
this happen to my family. The answer….God didn’t do it……Satan allowed it to
happen. The thing is though, God tells us that there is always changes which
will constantly be taking place within our lives. The third chapter of
Ecclesiastes tells us this:
1- There is a time for everything,
and a season for every activity under the
heavens:
2 - a time to be born and a time to
a time to plant and a time to uproot,
3- a time to kill and a time to heal,
a time to tear down and a time to
build,
4-
a time to weep and a time to laugh
a time to mourn and a time to dance,
5- a time to scatter stones and a time to gather
them,
a time to embrace and a time to refrain from
embracing,
6- a time to search and a time to give
up,
a time to keep and a time to throw
away,
7- a time to tear and a time to mend,
a time to be silent and a time to speak,
8
- a time to love and a time to hate,
a time for war and a time for peace.
Therefore we
see that there is a time and season for each and every thing that takes place
within our lives. It’s not because God is punishing us or our families but yet
He is testing us to see how strong our belief and faith are in Him. For we are
to trust in God and NOT lean on our own understanding when situations take
place. We may not truly understand the reason or why at the time but as the
song goes….farther along we will understand it. It is not always easy and we
might not understand it immediately but God will show it later on. So when something
bad does go on in your life, fight the enemy by instead of getting mad at God,
reverse it and show Satan you are going to rely on God not yourself. So in
closing, I ask this of you, the next time something goes wrong in your life,
who are you going to rely on? God or yourself? Myself, I would much rather rely
on God as I know that if I was to rely on myself I would never make it through
the bad times. Finally I want to say "Happy Heavenly Birthday Grandma….I love
and miss you.”
